The DLX-N high output, dual lamp ultraviolet NEMA-4 fixture efficiently disinfects HVAC/R airstreams, cooling coils and drain pans halting infectious diseases such as the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The antimicrobial fixture delivers the necessary germicidal dose to inactivate pathogens in virtually any airstream and its NEMA-4 outdoor rating makes installation possible on any exterior return, supply or exhaust duct.
Specs and Certifications
Designed for a full range of new or retrofit infection prevention applications, the DLX-N can be easily installed indoors or outdoors in most light-commercial, commercial, industrial and healthcare HVAC systems, as well as return or supply duct runs.
Like most germicidal fixtures installed near HVAC cooling coils, the DLX-N can improve heat transfer efficiency, reduce energy use and lower maintenance costs. With lamp sizes ranging from 12- to 31-inches, the DLX-N lamps provide 360-degrees of high UVC intensity. The UVC fixture provides a versatile means of inactivating airborne pathogens on almost any inside or outside duct.
Fixture are factory-assembled and tested and feature a powder coated, galvanized steel NEMA-4 housing, a “waterproof” power source, LED lamp/power supply monitor and two high output UV-C lamps. Construction is designed to withstand outdoor or indoor applications.
Housing is constructed of powder coated heavy-gauge galvanized steel with 1 – 1/2″ conduit knockout on the fixture’s base for hard-wiring, or an appropriately size hole can be made with a step-down drill bit to allow for a waterproof conduit connection. The fixture is designed to be mounted and serviced from the exterior of its installation site; such that, the lamps protrude into the plenum or duct. It can be externally mounted anywhere in an HVACR system, ducts or as shown on system plans.
Power Supply is a waterproof, Type 1, outdoor, high-power factor, electronic rapid-start type with overload and end-of-lamp-life circuit protection that maximizes lamp radiance, life, and system reliability at temperatures of 1–70° C (33-158°F). Input: 120-277Vac, 50/60 Hz, with a sound rating of A.
Sockets are standard 4-pin types constructed of a UV-C-resistant polycarbonate for long life.
Lamps are non-proprietary, single ended, very high output, hot cathode, T5, O8 4 pin, base types that produce broadband UV-C between 250–260 nm. Lamps are coated with EncapsuLamp™ (FEP) for protection in case of accidental breakage. UV-C lamp produces the specified output at any airflow velocity and temperatures of 1-77° C (33-158°F). Lamps are standard non-ozone producing types. Minimum useful lamp life is 9,000 hours, with no more than a 15% output loss, depending on conditions.
